She holds numerous awards, including the DotComm and Viddy Awards, and has been named a LinkedIn Top Voice in Healthcare Revenue Cycle. As a seasoned AI consultant, Sharon has significantly advanced the revenue cycle, utilizing AI to enhance efficiency and adaptability in healthcare settings. Her background spans inpatient and outpatient coding, CDI, and managing HI departments, with strategic and operational roles in both acute and ambulatory settings. Sharon served on the boards of AHIMA and ACPA, and has authored essential industry resources. Her work in developing GPTs and algorithms for logic development exemplifies her commitment to leveraging AI to refine documentation processes, meet evolving healthcare payment models, and educate on using AI to enhance operations. Jewel C. Newell is a US Army veteran, President and CEO of Newell Recruiting and Consulting, LLC (NRC), Co-Founder of I-HTM, and Cybersecurity Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente. With over 20 years in HTM, she has earned a reputation for leadership and innovation, focusing on talent growth, development, sustainment, and retention. Jewel, a Mississippi native, works alongside her identical twin, Amy Duffy, at I-HTM to enhance the education and visibility of the HTM community. She has served as Director of HTM, Lead Instructor, and Technical College Owner, specializing in sterilizers, ventilators, perinatal monitoring, dialysis, and HVAC. Jewel holds a BS in Business Studies, an MBA in Healthcare Management, and HVAC certification.

Amy C. Duffy is a U.S. Army veteran, the President and CEO of Duffy Diversified, LLC, a Co-Founder of I-HTM, and an Implementation Project Manager at Automated Data Processing (ADP, Inc.). With over 28 years of experience in leadership, project management, organizational management, retail, and spiritual wellness, she is widely recognized for her expertise in project planning and execution, business coaching, training, education, personal development, and spiritual guidance. A native of Mississippi, Amy has an identical twin, Jewel Newell, with whom she proudly collaborates at I-HTM. Together, they share a strong vision and commitment to enhancing the education, support, and visibility of the HTM community. Amy’s professional focus spans project management, health, and spiritual wellness. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Information Systems, as well as a Master’s degree in Theology.

Almetha Ford is a highly skilled and certified professional with over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of healthcare processes and technology innovation. With a passion for integrating cutting-edge solutions, Almetha has spent the past year working in the field of artificial intelligence, where she focuses on creating AI tools that improve access to vital information and enhance patient care. By necessity, HTM professionals have become familiar with many languages for medical device management. These languages comprise of the clinical and technical terminology specific to each department or specialty that enable the clear communication and understanding required for alignment and continued operations. As technicians are finding themselves interacting with IT Cybersecurity teams more than ever before, a new language is being added to the HTM lexicon. Through understanding of cybersecurity technical and operational terminology, HTM professionals can confidently navigate collaboration between traditionally siloed departments for secure medical device management. Tara Lansing-Deis, an industry specialist in developing cybersecurity programs for Healthcare Technology Management, will elaborate on helpful terms for HTM/IT collaboration.

Rick is a Product Manager for Pronk Technologies. He is a graduate of the US Army Medical Equipment and Optical school. He is Certified by the ICC as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, and Certified Healthcare Technology Manager. Rick works with the engineering team at Pronk doing new product development and testing. Rick is also responsible for the sales of Pronk products in the areas of Northern California, Oregon, Northern Nevada, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Prior to joining Pronk he worked in various roles in the Biomedical Electronics field including Field Service Tech, In-House BMET, BMET Supervisor, Clinical Engineering Manager, and Regional Director of Clinical Engineering for a Health System.
